2010 Most Expensive Cars In The World

Here are the 10 most expensive production/standard cars on the market for 2010/2011.

1. Bugatti Veyron
$1,700,000(~RM5,151,000).
Bugatti Veyron: Most Expensive Car in The World

This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. It is the fastest accelerating car reaching 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. It claims to be the fastest car with a top speed of 253 mph+.

However, the title for the fastest car goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero which exceed 253 mph pushing this car to 2nd place for the fastest car.

2. Lamborghini Reventon
$1,600,000(~RM4,848,000).
The most powerful and the most expensive Lamborghini ever built is the second on the list. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph and it has a top speed of 211 mph.

Its rarity (limited to 20) and slick design are the reasons why it is so expensive and costly to own.

3. McLaren F1
$970,000(~RM2,939,100).

McLaren P1

This is the McLaren P1. Officially, McLaren is calling the P1 a design study, with the final production version being shown next year.

In reality, the car that’s coming next year will probably look very much like this.

The P1 looks imposing in the photographs, but it’s actually little bigger than the current MP4-12C and is shorter than a Porsche 911.

The orange sections of the bodywork are the creation of McLaren’s design boss Frank Stephenson (who also did the Mini) and the matt black parts were shaped in McLaren’s wind tunnel.

McLaren says its car will only do around 239mph! Not fast enough to catch a Veyron, but it’s still pretty quick and will be devastatingly fast around a track.

Volkswagen may have made the Bugatti Veyron very speedy, but the German company doesn’t have the experience of McLaren when it comes to lapping a track quickly.

Like the MP4-12C, the P1 has a monocell carbon-fibre chassis using the same doorframe assembly as that car.

The outer panels are made from carbon fibre and the model will weigh under 1,300kg, which is amazingly light.

It’s likely that the P1 will feature an array of active aerodynamic details that will be automatically adjusted as speeds increase.

There’s a huge diffuser at the rear of the car and the pronounced flat bottoms of the sideskirts suggest that the P1 will sit down on its suspension at high speed so that more down-force will be generated.

Formula One is governed by technical rules, but that doesn’t apply to a road- going supercar, of course. So McLaren’s engineers can try out loads of ideas on the P1 that are banned in F1.

Take active suspension systems for example. The P1 could feature this and an active anti-roll system that virtually eradicates body roll as the car goes into a corner.

This, and the active aerodynamics, will mean the P1 will be untouchable on a racing circuit.

The P1 will use a tuned version of the MP4-12C’s twin-turbo 3.8 litre V8 that should produce something like 800bhp.

That will be boosted by an F1-like KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) that uses a pair of flywheels delivering up to 160bhp in short bursts, giving a total power output of 960bhp.

The KERS system will really help with acceleration away from the lights and we can expect the P1 to blast its way to 60mph in less than three seconds.

Word is that the car has already demolished the lap record at Silverstone for a road-going car.

The P1’s technology isn’t just limited to speeding around a track.

Apparently the windows are made of a type of acrylic, which repels water when it hits it, which means the P1 can do without windscreen wipers.

McLaren says it’s going to launch a new car every year between now and 2020. Only 500 P1s will be built.

Laferrari First Hybrid Ferrari

Ferrari has taken wraps off their highly anticipated supercar naming it as 'Laferrari'. With just 499 production vehicles to be built, the limited-series automobile combines formula one performance and ustainability with its first ever hybrid powertrain - a HY-KERS system that delivers 963 horsepower from its V12 engine and its two electric motors.

Equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch gear box EF1-trac F1 electronic traction control system, 'Laferrari' is capable of reaching speeds over 350 km/h - launching 0-100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and 0-200 km/h in under 7 seconds, making it the fastest road car in the company’s long history.

To boost efficiency, sports active aerodynamic devices front (diffusers and guide vane on the underbody) and rear (diffusers and rear spoiler) generate down force when needed without compromising the car’s overall drag coefficient - deploying automatically on the basis of a number of different performance parameters which are monitored in real time by the car’s dynamic vehicle controls.

Developed by Flavio Manzoni's design team, 'Laferrari’s' styling works in close collaboration with the engineers to emphasize and retain close links to the marque’s tradition - and to that of the Ferrari Enzo predecessor.

Its side profile sees a sharp, downward-sloping nose and a low hood highlighting its muscular wheel arches, a clear reflection to the forms found in the late-1960s Ferrari sports prototypes.

McLaren P1

Behold, the much teased McLaren P1 supercar. The replacement for the venerable McLaren F1 and the dream of drivers everywhere.

McLaren promises nothing less than "the best driver's car in the world on road and track." For once, we're not at all skeptical.

What you're seeing is not a production car exactly. This is a "design study" that'll debut in person at the Paris Motor Show but one that is supposed to preview the next generation car — set to go on sale within 12 months.

Here's what McLaren's chairman Ron Dennis has to say about it "P1 will be the result of 50 years of racing and road car heritage. Twenty years ago we raised the supercar performance bar with the McLaren F1 and our goal with P1 is to redefine it once again."

Otherwise, McLaren is fairly mum on details. It'll be faster and more expensive than the 12C, but otherwise they haven't said much. There are plenty of rumored specs that say the vehicle will have a 3.8-liter V8 producing 803 horsepower matched to a 160 horsepower KERS system giving it 963 combined horsepower.

World's Expensive RV

The world's most expensive motorhome is up for sale - with a price tag of £1.9million. Austrian company Marchi Mobile is behind the 40ft long palace on wheels, called the eleMMent palazzo, which comes complete with a pop-up roof terrace measuring 215 sq ft, underfloor heating and a bar.

The space-age vehicle has a huge master bedroom with 40-inch TV, an en suite bathroom, rainfall shower, separate toilet, lounge and driver's cab complete with bunk bed.

The Marchi Mobile EleMMent Palazzo is the world's most expensive motorhome, up for sale with a price tag of £1.9m.

The spacious leather-trimmed interior is finished to the highest specifications.

The EleMMent can be fitted with mobile internet, a working fireplace, streaming video surveillance and satellite TV, and boasts a glow-in-the-dark finish to improve night safety. But the most impressive touch is the machine's 'sky lounge' which opens at the touch of a button and features underfloor heating and a bar.

Marchi Mobile says the 510bhp engine will give the 20 tonne EleMMent palazzo a top speed of 93mph while being capable of a relatively high 13mpg, its efficiency for such a heavy vehicle partly down to its aerodynamic design.

The immaculate design of the motorhome includes a spacious lounge, master bedroom with en suite and rainfall shower and a lavish pop-up roof terrace.

The firm say the high end vehicle would suit rock stars or Formula One drivers looking for a luxury tour bus.

It will set the buyer back £1.9million and boast an area which expands to 430 sq ft, making it twice as expensive per square foot as the most lavish properties in London's exclusive Hampstead postcode.

And if you think that's eye-watering enough, brace yourselves, because that's just the starting price.

A source at the company admits the sky is the limit where the luxury vehicle is concerned and, if so requested, they'd be more than happy to cover it in diamonds.

No expense has been spared on fitting out the show model, with full-size bathroom and bedroom making for a comfortable living experience.

The vehicle has a pop-out living area to provide 80 per cent more space.

The vehicle is the first in the world to offer glow-in-the-dark paint.

Reduced fuel consumption of up to 20 per cent thanks to trendsetting aerodynamics, thus creating economic and ecologic harmony. Despite its eco-friendly values (relatively speaking, taking into account the palazzo is a large vehicle), the eleMMent is truly sportive with its 510 bhp, unique carbon-fibre rear diffuser and double tube sport exhaust. Higher safety rating than regular heavy vehicles due to the high compound strength of the glass fiber plastic cabin and the elevated seating position.Pop-up bar with underfloor heating and party lightingMaster bedroom with 40in flatscreen television and en suite with rainfall showerGlow-in-the-dark paint to improve night safetyAll mod cons, including video surveillance, mobile internet and a working fireplace its feet.
